Moon Bowl — 5.50" W x 3.00" H, A Note, 604g
Details
Moon bowls draw on one of the oldest traditions in Himalayan bowl making: full moon forging. In Kathmandu Valley workshops, artisans have long reserved certain bowls, made from a premium multi metal alloy traditionally associated with lunar energy, for hand hammering during the full moon, believed to imbue the metal with the heightened energy of that lunar phase.
The result is a bowl prized for its rich, layered harmonics and long, sustaining tone, often sought out for full moon meditation, sound baths, and ceremonies centered on release, completion, and renewal.
As with all hand hammered bowls, gentle variation in surface and tone is natural and part of each bowl's individual character.
Note: As a handcrafted product, exact weight and dimensions vary slightly bowl to bowl. The listing reflects this specific bowl's measurements.
Please note the singing bowl mallets and cushions are sold separately.
Materials + Care
- Clean Mindfully: Gently wipe your item with a soft, clean, dry cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. Avoid all harsh chemicals, commercial jewelry polishes, and abrasive cleaners, as they can strip natural gemstone finishes, tarnish hand-hammered metals, and damage delicate fabrics.
- Keep it Dry: Protect your item from excess moisture. Always remove wearable pieces before swimming, showering, or intense workouts, and never submerge ritual items in water, as liquid can weaken elastic cords, rust traditional metals, and warp textiles.
- Store Safely: When not in use, store your item in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, damp spaces, and extreme temperatures to prevent fading, stretching, or oxidation.
